Akoma Coffee & Books – Event Space Rental Policy

Rental Rate:

  • $175/hour (2-hour minimum)

  • Rental time must include setup and breakdown

  • Events lasting 4 hours or more qualify for a discounted rate of $150/hour


Reservation Requirements:

  • 50% non-refundable deposit required to secure your date

  • $45 cleaning fee added to all rentals

  • A valid credit card must be kept on file for any additional charges

$200 Minimum Purchase Requirement:
A $200 minimum purchase is required during your event. This can be met through:

  • Coffee bar purchases

  • Food or catering orders

  • Bookstore purchases

At the end of your event, if the $200 minimum is met, you’re all set.
If it is not met, the difference will be charged automatically to the card on file.

Guests also have the option to pre-order coffee, tea, or food packages in advance. These pre-orders count toward the minimum purchase.

Amenities Included:

  • Tables and chairs

  • Speaker + microphone

  • Projector

  • Setup assistance


Additional Notes:

  • Alcohol service is available upon request

  • Outside food is not permitted unless pre-approved

  • We welcome community-centered events that align with our mission
