Service is how we turn love for community into something people can feel. It is present in the space we share, the books we place in someone’s hands and the conversations we make room to have.
An Extension of Who I Am
Akoma is an extension of me. The books, the conversations, the music and the way people are welcomed all reflect something I value. I wanted to create the kind of place where people could feel comfortable being themselves, sharing what they know and discovering something new. Service to others is not an added feature of this space. It is part of why I created it.

At Akoma, service takes shape in everyday choices: listening with care, making thoughtful recommendations, welcoming new ideas and creating opportunities for people to learn from one another. Those choices give the space its character and turn intention into something people can experience.
Four Organizations, Shared Purpose
Each organization has its own name, role and area of service. Together, they create more ways for people to gather, discover books, develop leadership and bring their work into the world.

Akoma is a warm third place beyond home and work. Neighbors, entrepreneurs, readers and families can settle in, exchange ideas and build relationships over coffee and books.
